A Poem by one of my Friends

I'm reading Revelation, and was really quite surprised
At all the names of Jesus that I read and recognized.
"The Alpha and Omega", "the Beginning and the End,"
"The one who was and is to come." He's a forever friend.
'The First and the Last." "The Living One who died."
It was for you and I that He was crucified.
"The one who holds the seven stars in His right hand."
"The one who walks among the seven gold lampstands."
He also is "the one who has a sharp two-edged sword.
"We know Him as our Savior and should serve Him as our Lord.
"The Son of God, whose eyes are bright like flames of fire."
He's worthy of our worship and of our heart's desire.
"The one who has the sevenfold Spirit of God and the seven stars."
"The one who has the key of David" to open and shut doors.
"The one who is holy", the one who is true.
The one who died on the cross for me and for you.
"The faithful and true witness"--"who is the Amen."
Who forgives us for our sins - again and again.
"The ruler of God's creation;" "the worthy Lamb of God.
"A gentle Shepherd who leads us by His staff and rod.
Search the Scriptures for yourself, and you'll find, as I do...
The Author of The Book will show up to meet with you.
