There's enough hate without us spreading anymore around.

Don't hate back...

Believer, just as Bro. John says, "Do not be surprised, brothers, that the world hates you." (1 John 3:13 ESV)

If Jesus is abiding in us --and, if we are saved, HE IS!-- and if He is moving around this world in our bodies, doing His thing --and, HE IS!-- then do not be surprised when we are treated just like Jesus was treated. To those being saved, Jesus was pleasing and beloved. To those perishing, He was an enemy, a foul stench, something to be be rubbed out.

But. Don't. Hate. Back.

Nothing has changed: "For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning," --and the command remains... "...that we should love one another." And we know "We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother." Yes, do NOT hate back. Understand the will of the Lord... "And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother's righteous." (1 John 3:11-12 ESV, with my added comments)

Don't be surprised when the world hates you. Don't hate back.

There, we all understand it. God, grant us grace to live lives of love, and not fall into the temptation of revenge and vengeance and wrath. Father, grant us grace to not even dare stand in Your place; help us leave that to You. Fill us with love for all, and, Father, help us not hate back.
