I want God to lead!

God will lead us through it...
Whatever God promises, God will accomplish. Human leaders can be a blessing in God's work, or a burden, but their success is because of God and HE WILL succeed in spite of any leader's ineptitude.
The challenge is always to keep our eyes on God and our trust in Him.

Consider a time in Israel's history where they wanted to blame their UNWANTED circumstances on their human leaders rather than trusting God for power and provision: "Then the whole community began weeping aloud, and they cried all night. Their voices rose in a great chorus of protest against Moses and Aaron. 'If only we had died in Egypt, or even here in the wilderness!' they complained. 'Why is the Lord taking us to this country only to have us die in battle? Our wives and our little ones will be carried off as plunder! Wouldn't it be better for us to return to Egypt?' Then they plotted among themselves, 'Let’s choose a new leader and go back to Egypt!'" (Numbers 14:1-4 NLT)
Notice...
1. They "...cried all night."
2. They shouted "...a great chorus of protest..."
3. "...they complained..."
4. They blamed God, saying, "Why is the Lord taking us to this country only to have us die...?"
5. "Then they plotted..."
The people were mad at God. They didn't hide it. However, their solution for being mad at God was to get a new human leader.
How often, in our Christian circles, do we not like where GOD IS LEADING us, so we think finding people to agree with what we believe is an easier path is the ... well ... easier path? It happens all the time!
Moses and Aaron were not heretical.
Moses and Aaron were not in gross sin.
Moses and Aaron were following God.
The people simply did not like where God was leading.
So, their solution: replace the human leadership.
Really, they were saying, "Let's find some leaders who will listen to us, rather than these leaders who listen to God."
There are bad leaders. I know that.
Sometimes, we do need to part ways with bad leaders.
Let's make sure it's not God we're parting ways with.
Even in tough situations, God WILL lead us through it.
Be blessed. In Christ, indeed, we are!
