So, if our fight is not against people, how do we war?
Okay, so we know people are not our true enemies. Our battle is not against flesh and blood. Remember, Paul said, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12 ESV) After all, we know from Romans 8:31, "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" No one can stand against God forever; HE is the key to our hope for victory!
We have to have a stronger ally! We need God in this all-out conflict that is life, and we need Him to help us (1) see the real enemy and (2) fight the real fight.
Secondly, we need the right kind of weaponry. Paul continued by saying, "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm." (Ephesians 6:13 ESV) Too often we fight worldly battles with worldly weapons. We fight the wrong enemy with the wrong tools. There may be victory, but there's no spiritual fruit from the win!
Are we fighting the right enemy today?
Are we depending on the right ally?
Are we fighting the right way?
Are we fighting with the right weaponry?
Are we depending on the right ally?
Are we fighting the right way?
Are we fighting with the right weaponry?
How many of us are frustrated today because we are in the wrong war?
Beloved friends, be blessed as you ponder these things, I pray.
