Three fingers pointing back...
You've heard the old saying about pointing at someone, right? Every time we point a finger at someone, we point three back at ourselves.
When it comes to spiritual leadership, look for spiritual leaders who are careful to apply to themselves everything they preach God applies to others.
"I have applied all these things to myself..." (1 Corinthians 4:6 ESV)
If our spiritual leaders (or political, or familial, or workplace) do not apply to themselves what they recommend for others, there is trouble...in the minimum.
In your role as a leader (and everyone is some type of leader!), do you apply to yourself what you command others to apply?
