Thank You, Father, for Your good hand at work.

Do you ever wonder what God is doing in your life?
Is it sometimes hard to tell?
I was reading this morning, and found some encouragement for you. Through the Prophet Jeremiah, Father God said, "'Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will let you hear my words.' So I went down to the potter's house, and there he was working at his wheel. And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter's hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do." (Jeremiah 18:2-4 ESV)
Read, enjoy and give some thought:
1. Formed: God made me and God made you. He created us in His image, both male and female. He breathed life into your muscles and bones. He formed you in your mother's womb. You ARE fearfully and wonderfully made. You are not a mistake. You are beloved and loved. Like the potter, God formed you. You are His. You have substance and worth you've never considered before. Nothing a potter does jumps onto the wheel by itself. Likewise, nothing is made that God did not make. Nothing is by accident. People may make you feel like it, but you're no accident, you're not unimportant. God made you. God loves you. God formed you. You're His.
2. Deformed: I have sinned. I am a sinner. You have sinned. You are a sinner. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Like the work in the potter's hand, we have become spoiled. Our form is not as it should be! The potter is not responsible for the spoiling, but He'll take responsibility for the healing, correction and renewal. Unlike the inanimate clay upon the wheel, God is no bully. He wants relationship. He wants us to return ourselves, by surrender and choice, to His hands...those same hands we've desired to run from, He desires us to run to. We are spoiled -- ruined -- but, in the Potter's hand, there is hope!
3. Re-form(ing): Here! This blessed position is a sacred place! As the potter "reworked" the spoiled vessel, God desires to rework us today! He formed us. Sin deforms us. He will re-form us! Behold, He is able to do far more than we can imagine or think. His desire is to conform us into the image of His beloved Son. He wants to make us into a new creation. Place yourself in the Potter's hand... join me there.
Be encouraged.
Seek Him and He will be found.
Trust Him and He will be faithful.
Surrender to Him and He will save you.
Love Him; He already loves you.
