It's all connected...
Stewardship of the earth is wise and just, and
we'd do well to understand our very often, very wasteful, destructive ways work
against us. Though the license of waste seems to be the path to enjoyment, it
goes against what is natural, what is right, and what will serve our own
interests in the long term.
Look at the wisdom of Scripture...
"When the grass is gone and the new
growth appears and the vegetation of the mountains is gathered, the lambs will
provide your clothing, and the goats the price of a field. There will be enough
goats' milk for your food, for the food of your household and maintenance for
your girls." (Proverbs 27:25-27 ESV)
Grass and growth leads to clothes, milk, and
food. If we fail to steward well what God has given us, it affects everything!
Let us look well to all things about us.
